Frequently Asked Questions

ABOUT THE PINK CLINIC

Is The Pink Clinic different from seeing my GP?

Yes. A standard GP appointment is typically 15 minutes and covers everything. At The Pink Clinic, your appointment is dedicated entirely to your hormonal health. With 45 minutes minimum for a first consultation, and a clinician whose entire focus is perimenopause, menopause, and women's hormonal wellbeing.

Do I need a referral to book?

No. You can book directly without a GP referral.

Can you actually prescribe HRT and other medications?

Yes. An Endorsed Nurse Practitioner has full prescribing authority including HRT, and all other medications within their scope of practice. You will not be sent elsewhere just to get a prescription.

ABOUT YOUR CARE

I've been told my results are normal but I still feel terrible. Can you help me?

This is one of the most common things we hear. Standard blood tests don't capture the full picture of hormonal health — and "normal" on a lab report doesn't mean you should feel the way you do. At The Pink Clinic, your lived experience is treated as clinical information. We take the whole picture seriously.

I'm post-menopausal. Is it too late to get help?

Absolutely not. Many women come to us years — sometimes decades — after their last period, still struggling with symptoms that were never properly addressed. Post-menopausal care is a core part of what we do, including long-term HRT management, bone health, genitourinary symptoms, cardiovascular risk, and ongoing hormonal wellbeing.

What happens in my first appointment?

Your initial consultation is 45 minutes. We'll go through your full history — symptoms, cycles, sleep, mood, energy, previous treatments and investigations — and develop a personalised management plan together. Where needed, we'll arrange pathology or refer to other specialists. You'll leave with a clear plan and a clinician who knows your story.

Will you communicate with my GP?

Yes, always. After every consultation we send a detailed letter to your GP keeping them informed of your care. This supports continuity and means your whole health team is on the same page.

ABOUT TELEHEALTH

Is telehealth appropriate for this kind of care?

Yes. The vast majority of perimenopause and menopause care — history-taking, diagnosis, prescribing, management planning, follow-up — can be delivered very effectively via telehealth. You'll need a smartphone, tablet, or computer with an internet connection. That's it.

Is my information secure?

All consultations are conducted via Halaxy, a secure, Australian-based clinical platform used by thousands of healthcare providers. Your health information is stored and managed in accordance with Australian privacy legislation.

I'm not very tech-savvy. Will I manage?

Yes. If you can make a video call, you can attend a telehealth appointment. Our team can walk you through it if needed.

STILL HAVE A QUESTION?

We're happy to help. Get in touch via our Contact page and we'll get back to you within two business days.
